My name is Samuel Rocke David Wilkes. I (might) go by the pen name S. R. Wilkes and currently I write fantasy fiction novels as well as poetry. At the moment I am working on my so far favorite novel: Bane of Thunder. It is about a boy who struggles with fate and destiny, trying to forge his way through a life of war and all the while resist each attempt at forcing an unwanted destiny upon himself.
I'm eighteen years old and currently attend Memorial University of Newfoundland. I'm majoring in English of course, going for an arts degree, all to go into education. I've got ADHD, surprise! Who doesn't? The only thing is, it's very hard to concentrate with it, and yes I know the difference, I've experienced the medication so I know just how hindering it can be, it's the difference between 90s and 60s on an exam, that's right, an exam, not a pop test, or a quiz or something simple like that. Besides the concentration issues, I have a diagnosed writing disability! Wow, aren't I special? I'm a writer with a writing disability! Ha! But it's fine; that only affects actual writing, not typing, so I'm okay with this and pretty much all of the writing I do.
I've been writing for about seven or eight years, since I first moved to Newfieland (Newfoundland, the east coast of Canada). My first "book" was I think eleven chapters long and each being a paragraph with every other word misspelled. Though I kind of did like the story, a boy and his friend unleash the evil of a corrupt god upon the world and coincidentally unleash the powers of five demi gods (yes the powers of five demi gods technically overpowers a god but who cares?) And that's when one of the two gets kidnapped and tainted, huzzah! Cliche to the max!
Anyways, I tend to get writers block frequently but that might just be a subconscious excuse for laziness. I'm out for now folks, later on!
